Live Music Gig Venues In Ilchester

Live music in Ilchester happens in just a few venues; well there are only a few pubs! Update April 2009-At the moment both the Bull and The Dolphin appear to b e closed. For the most part, music in a pub is generally free (thank you landlords!) with smaller bands generally performing most often. Although it is close to Yeovil, Ilchester does have a completely different feel about it, much more like a large village. The Yeovilton Navy airbase is just up the road and as a consequence many of Ilchester's residents will have some connection to the base.

THE DOLPHIN INN (01935 840806) on the High Street in Ilchester. At the moment the pub appears is closed. It has been repossessed by Enterprise Inns. Shame, it's a nice place.
THE BULL INN (01935 840318) is right on the Square in the centre of Ilchester and up for sale at the moment. Another closed pub.
THE ILCHESTER ARMS (01935 840220) is opposite the Bull Inn overlooking the square in Ilchester. As a hotel it caters for both business and personal guests with a good reputation for the quality of its food. Live music is not high on their agenda but they do arrange occasional events with a musical backing.

THE LAMB & LARK (01935 840368) at Limington is tucked away between Yeovil and Ilchester. It's mostly country pub food and beer but now and again they put some music on.
