| THE SWAN THEATRE Yeovil based theatre run by enthusiasts in a very professional manner. As well as hosting their own events the theatre is also used by touring companies from time to time. |

THE MARINE THEATRE in Lyme Regis plays host to a wide variety of musical performances and theatrical events each month. It's a lovely old building that enjoys the ongoing support of the TheatreFriends to keep the building maintained.

Visual & Performing Arts Venues
| SHERBORNE HOUSE A regional centre for the visual & performing arts in Sherborne, Dorset. This venue is being sold by Dorset County Council and is scheduled to become a hotel. It will however continue to have a gallery and become a home for the Elizabeth Frink sculpture collection. |

| THE DAVID HALL ARTS CENTRE in South Petherton is run by Petherton Arts Trust, and is renowned for its range of top quality musical events. They also offer films, dance, drama and community activities. The building is an old church (which creates some maintenance problems) and the acoustics are some of the best to be found anywhere. |

| BRIDPORT ARTS CENTRE on South Street hosts a wide variety of of both performance and visual arts based events. The historic venue has a 200-seat theatre, three exhibition spaces plus a café and bar. |

| THE MEETING HOUSE in Ilminster hosts a wide variety of arts exhibitions, workshops and live musical performances throughout the year. They can be contacted by phone on 01460 55783. |

DILLINGTON HOUSE (01963 440218) Dillington House is Somerset County Council’s residential centre for professional development, adult education and the arts. Regular classical music recitals happen throughout the year. These take place in the Mews Theatre which seats up to 160.
